Lenoir-Rhyne University is pleased to announce the fifth year of the LR Teaching Scholars scholarship program. We are currently recruiting exemplary high school seniors to receive this prestigious scholarship and develop the skills to become effective teacher leaders for our public schools. Fall 2019 applications are being accepted now. Priority consideration will be given to students applying by January 10, 2019. However, we strongly encourage students to apply immediately as spaces for this scholarship program are limited. High School seniors should apply at edu.lr.edu/teachingscholars

Prospective Scholars are also encouraged to attend the Choose LR enrollment management event on Saturday, October 20th. Students will receive valuable information regarding admissions, financial aid, academics, and campus services. A special reception and information session will be held for all prospective Teaching Scholars to learn about the program and meet current Scholars completing the program. Students may register for this event at: http://www.lr.edu/admissions/visit/come-to-an-event

We are enclosing flyers about the LR Teaching Scholars program for you to share with students who may be interested in this opportunity. Please help us spread the word about this scholarship to prospective Teaching Scholars in your school. If you have any questions or want additional materials please feel free to contact me. I am also available to visit your school or speak to students by phone or video conferencing.
